15th Annual Education Conference a Success – Despite Snow

On 2/21/2015, Ohio GI held its 15th CME Conference for primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician  assistants. Attendees heard focused clinical talks on the latest advances on a variety of digestive diseases.

Dr. Ravi provided a clear explanation of how best to evaluate complex liver conditions. Dr. Haberthier discussed “H. pylori Bugs My Patients”, and Dr. Gajera then gave the latest information on evaluation and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux and Barrett’s.

After a brief break, the second half of the conference focused on health and wellness   Our invited speaker, Mindy Piles, who teaches fitness at Cincinnati State, presented the scientific evidence about different types of exercises – benefits and risks.  Dr Alan Safdi then led an energetic discussion on healthy eating, pointing out the hidden negative impact of many commonly ingested foods and beverages.
